Wedding Invitations

At long last, our wedding invitations are here! After so much headache (as well as heartache), we finally got it. Here is our ambigram that is embossed on the flap of our pocket-fold invitation. It is the main accent and without it our invitation would be simple and ordinary. I must give credit to Lex since this is one of his bright ideas =). At first I was not convinced to have one made. But he insisted and now our invitations, missalettes, souvenirs, etc just couldn't do without it!

An ambigram, also known as an inversion, is a graphical figure that spells out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation. This is typically when viewed as a mirror-image or when rotated through 180 degrees. -- Ours still read "Lex&Lynn" even when you read it upside-down! =)

Bridal Shoes

http://www.giuseppe-zanotti-design.com/

Here's a sneak peek of my bridal shoes. Ever since I saw Giuseppe Zanotti's bling-studded sandals at Saks, I knew that I'm gonna wear one of his marvelous creations on my big day. I searched all over Manhattan and the internet for them. And I finally found this pair on eBay at a fraction of the original cost! It goes well with my jewel theme too. I'll definitely feel like a celebrity wearing these! =)

Groom Shoes

http://www.vicinishoes.com

Since Lex gave me the task of searching for his shoes, I first went to Vicini - the same company which distributes my Zanotti sandals. They did not disappoint. The shoes that we chose are modern, elegant, and stylish. They're comfortable too. We were able to get them at a discounted price on Zappos. Overall, my groom is very happy with it =).

Bridal Bag

I found this perfect little crystal bag at a small store on 5th Ave. What a great find! I couldn't leave the store without it. It would be a nice addition to my ensemble.

Unity Coins

http://www.arras-coins-for-sale.com

Since we are overseas, we need to shop for most of our wedding details here in the US. I expected that these details would be much more expensive here. But it was a surprise that when I searched for our Unity coins, it was actually cheaper than what was being sold in the Phil! I bought our coins on the internet for roughly P400 cheaper. It was a steal! We chose the large solid gold-colored coins.

Cake Server

http://www.mikasaandcompany.com

We love the grapes and vine detail on our chosen cake server by Mikasa. This ties in with our Fall theme. It is a two-piece set made out of stainless steel. We'll just have it calligraphed with our names and wedding date when we get back home. Again, this is another internet-eBay find. I got it for half it's original cost. I love eBay! =)

Wedding Bible

http://www.personalizationmall.com/

Lex and I wanted to invest on a good bible that we can pass on to our kids someday. I searched the internet for one and found this Family Heirloom Bible. It is perfect! It is 9x12" -- a bit larger than the regular bible, allows personalization -- we had "Lex & Lynn Laguardia" printed on the leather cover, and has many colored religious paintings inside! Did I mention I had a 15% off coupon used on this one?

Guest Book

http://www.mypublisher.com

Here is the cover of our Guest Book that we're planning to pass around during reception. It is a photo book containing our 2006 travel snapshots. We did the layout ourselves and mypublisher did an awesome job in printing. It will definitely be one of our treasured keepsakes.

Champagne Flutes

http://www.mikasa.com

We bought these Olympus flutes at the Mikasa outlet store in Woodbury. They were on sale and they were the best-looking and most elegant ones that we found. It is also made out of unbreakable crystal (Is there such a thing?!?). I hope we don't get to test this out on our wedding day! Hehe. We'll probably add some ribbons and accents for it to go with our fall-jewel theme.

Place Cards

These are our place cards for the Principal Table. I bought these 3x2 gold frames from eBay. They should add a touch of elegance to the tables =).
